The location of the hotel is very good and close to down town, the beach of the hotel is perfect and the food was nice also.
The hotel is strategically located 5 minutes walking from El Gouna resort's downtown district, where there is a vibrant night life comprising many shopping outlets and numerous restaurants serving many international as well as local cuisines. The downtown area, called Kafr El Gouna is known for its more simple and less costly restaurants compared to the Abu Teeg Marina's. Other than that, the hotel benefits from a decent low rize chalet type of small buildings, nice landscape, many facilities and a decent beach front on one of the Gouna lagoons. While you cannot swim in the hotel lagoon, the hotel has Zeytouna island only 300m away from the beach with free access by a shuttle boat every single hour till sunset.
The hotel rooms need urgent upgrade and refurbishment. The wood works, cabinets and tables need repainting as they give you the feel of being too old. The water pressure in the shower is very weak and the quality of the shower mixer and head are both substandard. So, you may end up having an unpleasant shower experience. Also, the quality of the bed mattresses is substandard. Such 'small to repair' issues require immediate attention from the hotel management as the quality provided is not really in line with 4star standards and hence, falls below one's expectations. I feel sorry because such a beautiful hotel is left under-maintained for no obvious reasons.
Location wise is excellent as it is very close to downtown, cafes, restaurants, boat to beach all in walking distance.
The friendliness of the staff, we reserved a half board and arrived to the hotel at 11 pm but they still prepared some food for us and they allowed us a late check in upon our departure free of charge. The location is excellent and the food is amazing in both quality and variety. The pool was under construction when we were there but we were offered free passes to a neighboring club house's pool even though we did not use it since the beach was awesome and zeytouna beach is very close by ferry.
With half board, you have to pay extra for wine at incredible prices ( about 10$ the glass of common red or white wine... Even the bottle of water is charged extra !
It is not a big hotel and that I like. It makes you feel that you live in your private chalete.
The food is average, it is not wow
Its location, clean, lots of vegetation, hotel staff very kind
The location is excellent, close to downtown and the short boat shuttle to Zaytuna Island.
The rooms were not very clean, we found ants and when we asked them to clean it, they didn't do it properly. The staff is very unprofessional and unorganized. On our checkout day we were offered a "shower room" because our bus was in the evening, it was just a used room with no clean towels.
We found the staff very helpful. They all wanted to serve us and were polite considerate and cheerful.
The furniture in the bedroom was well worn and could do with renewal, but it did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
Great location, nice well kept grounds. Comfortable beds.
Air conditioning noisy, not easy to adjust. Rooms need renovation. Very old tv, limited channels. Swimming pool small and crowded. Breakfast can be improved.
Great location, great initial design; coral reef can be reached from the extended pier; day-to-day running should be given more attention (e.g. seat covers and place mats in the restaurant need care; internet access should be made easier); otherwise great place for families
Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It's beautiful, comfort one for quiet relax. Hotel is located at the down town, the oldest area of the city. You can rent a bysicle and make a trip across El Gouna. Trips by boat to the sea beach add some romance to your stay.
Music that was offered at the hotel suites it's atmosphere, but you can rarely listen to it.
the most beautiful thing was the site and location. we stayed in a room with a excellent view.
the service was acceptable but not the best. also it has very little facilitates . also the restaurant was not that good.
Food and location are ok
Reception was bad no air condition with poor service Staff were not friendly at all Shuttle boat between sea and hotel is hourly not every 15min as stated in the time table.
The hotel is set amongst beautiful colourful well-kept gardens, very peaceful and relaxing. The architecture is interesting and the views across the lagoon are lovely. The room was large and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfasts were hearty and I enjoyed the omelette bar.
